Contingency recruiting is for both employers or job seekers, and TMG is paid on a commission basis – only when placements have been made. This type is mostly for mid to lower-level position searches, non-exclusively. TMG usually works with a Human Resources department or a hiring manager. First matches are delivered within 2 weeks, from both custom search and our 20,000+ talent pool.
The Marks Group’s retained plans operate on an exclusive basis, providing high-level placement, which involve senior management and largely impact the team/division/company. Since an exclusive contract is signed, TMG can get a deep understanding of our client’s culture, business, positions and team to deliver the top, most qualified candidates. Retained clients fees are 1/3 up-front, 1/3 during initial candidate submitting, 1/3 on start date.
The Marks Group likes to cater to all of our clients needs, and if you lie somewhere between a contingency and retained plan, you’re probably going to want to choose a hybrid plan – a mix of both. Our job placements are divided into three types: permanent (direct hire), temp-to-hire and temporary. While a majority are permanent / direct-hire, our staffing services are treated the same — finding the best candidates for your company. Every search is unique, which is why we allow our clients choose from several agreement types to engage our recruiting services – contingency, retained and hybrid. We’ll start every new search by building it’s own search roadmap, defining where and how we’ll find suitable candidates for your position(s). We’ll identify target organizations and use internal databases and premium access subscriptions, then network to find best-of-the-best candidates. Our roadmap is shared with and approved by you before outreach begins, so that there is universal agreement on our search focus.
The Marks Group’s unique scorecards system allows us to consistently and accurately assess and score candidates throughout our search. While some recruiters may make decisions on the fly, our scorecards system is time-tested and accurate, producing only the top, best-suited candidates for our clients.
We’ll assign a dedicated recruiter that will use leverage our experience in the industry to create an effective game plan. Depending on the plan you choose, your recruiter will handle up to a certain number of new searches at once. Your recruiter will be your main contact point and your go-to throughout the process.
Once the agreement is completed, we’ll meet with the hiring executive(s) and other relevant participants to build the search criteria. During this process, our goal is to build an exact profile for the ideal candidates together. We’ll discuss performance expectations of the position(s), the culture of the organization, existing team construction, current competencies/styles and must-have attributes.
